Hamish McCombie

After graduating from Victoria University Wellington Hamish accepted a graduate position with Mobil Oil NZ before heading to London and launching a career in the search and recruitment industry.

Hamish has worked in the Search and Selection industry for over 30 years, gaining experience internationally in Sydney, Singapore, London, and now, New Zealand.  He has worked for notable search and recruitment firms such Michael Page International, Robert Walters Australia and Morgan McKinley UK.

​

Hamish’s wealth of experience has covered the Fractional & Interim Execuitve contracting and in addition, senior permanent placements across the following disciplines: Strategy, Consulting, Transformation, Finance, Human Resource and Operations.

​

Hamish has executed assignments in a range of industries including financial services. Insurance, and blue-chip corporates. He has managed and collaborated with high performing teams of up to 20 to achieve optimal results for the business and his client portfolios exceeding NZ$5M.

​

Outside of work Hamish has a passion for all sports particularly rugby and skiing and enjoys international cuisine with his favourite dish being the “The Korean barbeque.”
