Joanne Asby

Joanne Ashby is the founder and owner of Purpose Built Careers which specialises in Executive Search and Recruitment, Organisation Performance Strategy and Career Management.

As a human resources and organisational development specialist, Joanne brings decades of experience and learning to the table. She started her career as a recruitment consultant in the eighties before expanding her experience to include organisational development and HR consulting. 

Joanne has led a diverse range of projects across a variety of industries in New Zealand, Australia, the United Kingdom and Hong Kong. Having led panels to appoint senior government officials, restructured companies, undertaken executive search and designed a range of business management programmes, Joanne is keenly adept at evaluating and understanding people and their careers. 

Joanne is a resident of Whangarei and having identified the commercial growth in Northland, she  established her consultancy in this region to assist clients to attract and retain the right talent. She is Chairperson of the St Francis Xavier Primary School Board and Chair of People and Remuneration for the Huanui College board. 

 

As a parent of two teenage children, Joanne also specialises in taxi driving, cooking, nursing, psychology and repeating herself endlessly.
